With 25 years of experience in the beauty industry, celebrity hair stylist Mai Lieu has earned over 7 international hairdressing awards, showcasing her top-notch skills. She has extensive global work experience in the UK, USA, Canada, and China.

As a professional hairstylist, I was always helping my clients with two things: fixing their bangs and fixing home haircuts. This was one of my main motivations for inventing the CreaClip.
I always say, "There's nothing better than going to the salon and having a professional cut your hair. But if you don't have the time or money, then CreaClip is the best tool to help you with home haircuts.”
I had a burning desire to help my clients and their families and while surfing my favorite waves of Honolulu, HI,my idea for CreaClip was born. I decided that I was going to do whatever it would take to bring this product to the market.
I invented the CreaClip to help people in 3 ways:
Save time, save money & feel great
I want to share three short stories with you that illustrate these 3 needs:
When my clients had their babies, I would not see them in the salon for 2 or 3 years. One of my clients once told me, "I don't even have time to go pee! I'm so sorry, I just ended up cutting my own hair at home." I knew that parents needed a way to still feel great with such little time.
Hairstylists know that bangs need to be trimmed every 3 weeks. Even though my salon offered free bang trims, my clients did not have the time to come in for a trim and I would have to fix their bangs at the next salon visit.
I was a victim of bad haircuts as a child. Because we were poor growing up, my mom would always cut my bangs (way too short) and I always looked horrible in my school photos. When I was inspired to create the CreaClip, I knew I would be able to help families with home haircutting and hopefully help children feel GREAT about getting their cut at home.
In 2006, I founded my company CreaProducts in Honolulu, Hawaii, and in 2008 my dreams became a reality when millions learned about the CreaClip live on TV and sold out on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) in 13 minutes flat!
Another dream came true when I was able to get CreaClip on the American Hit-TV Show Shark Tank! Check out Shark Tank's Season 7, Episode 27 to see which shark invested in CreaClip.
When the Covid 19 pandemic swept across the world, everything was closed and everyone was looking for ways to bring parts of "regular" life back. We are so grateful that CreaClip was able to support families live on home haircuts for over 2 years! CreaCip sales increased by 400% and we had to figure out many solutions to keep up with the increase in demand.
We launched our private VIP Facebook group to guide families on the best ways to utilize the CreaClip at home and we also created a medium sized CreaClip to address the need to cut fine hair during the pandemic. We are proud to say the CreaClip was able to become part of the new normal.
